Andreas G. Klaube serves as a Technical Leader at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), currently leading innovative research efforts in the bulk system integration of variable energy resources, resource adequacy, climate resilience and transmission planning. He also leads EPRI's research for operator supports tools in managing grid services.
Andreas has previously held extensive leadership roles in industry focusing on bulk system reliability assessment and performance analysis, formerly chairing the NERC Reliability Assessment Subcommittee, NERC Probabilistic Assessment Working Group, and the NPCC CP-8 Working Group on the Review of Resource and Transmission Adequacy, focused on the reliability and resilience of the grid in the northeastern United States and Canada.
He has held previous technical and program management roles with the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) and the United States Department of Navy. Andreas earned a master’s degree in public administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s in engineering from the Rutgers University School of Engineering.
