Junhui Zhao is the Manager of Power System Automation at Eversource Energy, where he leads initiatives to explore and implement artificial intelligence and data science applications in utility engineering and operations. His contributions at Eversource have been recognized with the 2024 AEIC President's Award, the 2024 EEI Edison Award, the 2024 Fortnightly Top Innovator Award, and the 2024 CIGRE NGN Best Paper Award. He was also the recipient of the 2023 IEEE PES Connecticut Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award. Before joining Eversource, Junhui served as a Quantitative Principal Engineer at ComEd in 2022 and as a tenured Associate Professor at the University of New Haven from 2014 to 2021. He holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Chongqing University, China, and Wayne State University, USA, awarded in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
