Monica Wang is a serial entrepreneur who has nurtured multiple startups as a partner and CMO.
In her early career, Monica was marketing partner of two internet e-commerce ventures. CphI.CN aggregated 200,000 Chinese pharmaceutical raw material and equipment suppliers and 5,000 overseas buyers, building an efficient cross-border platform for Chinese SMEs. AKC, a social e-commerce unicorn, raised a total of $200 million from institutions including Legend Capital, Innovation Works, GGV Capital, Heiyi Capital, and Zhongding Capital. It connected 1 million individual entrepreneurs in China’s lower-tier markets with 5,000 brands, creating a supply platform for excess inventory to empower individuals, brands, and society.
In recent years, Monica has focused on the rise of AI-empowered "super individuals" and next-generation education. She was partner of two ventures in these fields. Momen AI/Zion No-Code (a portfolio company of Sequoia Capital and Linear Capital) serves 200,000 entrepreneurs and creators by enabling non-technical founders through AI-driven automation. Its founding team, educated at Cambridge, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon, previously worked at Google, Facebook, Dropbox, and other Silicon Valley tech giants. SummerHill Camp, China’s leading outdoor education brand, provides innovative, independence-focused programs for 6-14-year-olds. It has engaged nearly 100,000 children across 12 countries and 50 cities, achieving an NPS score exceeding 85.
Monica is recognized for her industry expertise as a startup mentor at the MIIT National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base. She has hosted influential international forums including the Asia-Pacific New Energy Summit, Trans-Pacific Maritime Conference, Singapore Biopharma Forum, and Davos Financial Forum.
A mother of three and marathon runner, Monica previously worked as a journalist at Xinhua News Agency. She holds an EMBA from Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), alongside alumni ties to Fudan University’s School of Economics and Shanghai International Studies University’s School of Journalism.
